The Secret Garden

Surrounded by vintage-inspired clothing, accessories, jewelry, gifts and collectibles, visitors to The Secret Garden feel as if they have stepped into the Victorian era. Some of the shop's clothing items are handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces, featuring The Secret Garden's own private label. Their styles are appealing to women who prefer classic, timeless day and evening wear to cookie-cutter fads. And because a number of the store's garments and accessories are not duplicated, some of the area's top female entertainers—such as the Lennon Sisters, Alison Krauss and Lorrie Morgan—are frequent shoppers. The Secret Garden opened in the early '80s and is known as one of the oldest boutiques in the Branson area. Richard and Bobigene Fent purchased the shop eight years ago. They have since doubled the business's size to include an adjacent, complementary shop, Goosey Goosey Gander, which features elegant, contemporary clothing and home decor items.
