Spruce and Gussy

Patti Savoie & Michelle Souza, Owners
spruceandgussy.com

Spruce and Gussy is a hip, colorful shop with a focus on handcrafted items and work from local artisans. The store’s rustic wood accents and warm, modern color palette offer shoppers a cozy respite from downtown’s busy streets.

Owners Michelle Souza and Patti Savoie opened the shop in 2010 to bring quality offerings to town and as a way of creating a market for their own jewelry and fiber arts and the work of other local artisans, many of whom they count as friends.

The pair host monthly trunk shows featuring artisans represented in the shop, and in the winter they offer weekly knitting and needle felting classes in their cozy sitting area. The events help keep Spruce and Gussy on people’s radar, while satisfying the owners’ desire to help build a greater sense of community in town.
