Best Sellers in… Honolulu, Hawaii By Katlyn Murray

Alliway

Originally from San Francisco, Alliway storeowner and jewelry designer Allison Kim-Czerniak saw something missing from the Honolulu gift market when she moved to the tropical city four years ago. Disappointed by the lack of originality and poor quality she says she found in many of the city’s existing tourist gift shops, Kim-Czerniak decided to open her own boutique. She stocked the store with all the items that she loved and couldn’t find in Honolulu, and uses it to showcase her own line of jewelry.

Kim-Czerniak describes the feel of her store as “beachy chic” and as the only buyer for the shop, she tries to find unique, upscale items that a wide range of customers can afford. The store and its owner are all about quality, humor, and compassion. Kim-Czerniak also loves dogs. The store is very accessible to furry companions and carries a wide variety of products for them as well. Kim-Czerniak cares deeply for the Honolulu community and often donates items to fundraisers that benefit local animal shelters.
