AmericasMart announces September ‘Best of Atlanta’ gourmet food awards
AmericasMart Atlanta has announced the winners of its annual BEST OF ATLANTA awards celebrating the top gourmet food products in its permanent and temporary collections. The awards were adjudicated during The Atlanta Gourmet Market, Sept. 16-18, 2015.
Winners were designated based on taste, overall appeal and packaging/presentation as selected by industry experts Malika Bowling, president of the Association of Food Bloggers and author of the “Food Lovers’ Guide to Atlanta,” “Food Blogging 101” and The Atlanta Restaurant Blog; Chef Andrew Isabella, executive chef of BeetleCat (opening November 2015); and Chef Martin Smetana, head chef of Classic Fare Catering.
The winners included:
- Fox Point Farm’s Faabulous Fudge Sauce for Best Chocolate and Goat Milk Caramels in Salted Vanilla for Best Candy (Non-chocolate)
- Sweet Shop’s Handmade Chocolate for Best Dessert
- Robert Rothschild Farm’s Organic Pepper & Garlic Dip for Best Lifestyle/Natural/Gluten-Free
- Wine-a-Rita’s Peach Bellini for Best Beverage
- Columbia Empire Farms’ Seedless Black Raspberry Preserves for Best Jam
- J.Q. Dickinson Salt Works’ Heirloom Finishing Salt for Best Condiment
- Grits Bits’ Pimento Cheese Grits Bits for Best Snack
- Sable & Rosenfeld Tipsy Tapas Cheese Stuffed Baby Squash for Wild Card
- Plentiful Pantry Thai Coconut Soup for Best Soup
Visual design was honored by the Atlanta Fall Gift & Home Furnishings Market and The Atlanta Gourmet Market’s BEST OF SHOW award, which was presented to Never Lose Hope Designs.
