Bigger Box successfully tips its first deal with Blue Mountain Arts Counter Display

San Francisco, California – Bigger Box, a new company backed by an alliance of top gift sales agencies, officially launched its new site with the goal of bringing big-box buying power to independent retailers. Bigger Box debuted their first weekly deal with a discount of 40% percent off wholesale on best-selling product from stationery industry leader Blue Mountain Arts.

Born out of the idea that retailers could benefit from the group buying phenomenon that has proven to be so successful in acquiring new customers, Bigger Box applies the same concept to the relationship between independent retailers and their wholesale vendors. Leading vendors in the industry provide limited offers on top-selling merchandise for 40-50% off regular wholesale pricing. Offers are extended to retailers through email and social media channels. Retailers can purchase on the site by simply registering and providing credit card payment for product that they are interested in. The deal only becomes “live” when a requisite number of retailers agree to purchase.

Stationery industry leader Blue Mountain Arts was the first of many top brand manufacturers to participate. With a 40% off wholesale offer, their deal tipped within four days when 25 racks had been sold and closed on the fifth day with over 35 total racks sold. “This is a revolutionary new business model in an industry that’s needed a solution to help small independent retailers compete against big-box stores,” said Andy Cykman, company spokesperson and head of business development. “Bigger Box is a win-win-win,” said Cykman. “Vendors win by gaining valuable real estate in stores, stores win with the ability to dramatically increase their margins, and sales reps win because Bigger Box brings new customers and new products to service.”

Bigger Box pools the collective buying power of independent retailers and empowers them to buy weekly deals at bigger discounts than those normally reserved for the big box stores. All a retailer has to do to start receiving their weekly deals is register at http://www.biggerbox.net.
