Brian Yanish Designs to Launch New Scrap Kins Content at Licensing International 2009

New York, NY – Brian Yanish announced today that his namesake company, Brian Yanish Designs, will roll out expanded content and artwork for its character property The Scrap Kins at Licensing International 2009. Since launching in 2006, the licensing program continues to grow and Licensing 2009 will showcase the expanded series of Recycled Arts & Crafts, educational content and artwork catalog including the brand new Baby Scrap Kins collection. The Scrap Kins will also feature fashion tees as part of the Licensing Expo Fashion Runway.

“Capitalizing on our product foundation in recycled paper stationery, calendars and puzzles we’ve developed new artwork and story content for expansion into publishing and animation,” said Mr. Yanish. “Our recent successes with school visits and festivals where we teach kids eco-creativity and resourcefulness through recycled arts & crafts has driven demand to tell the stories of The Scrap Kins and their adventures in the recycled world of Scrap City. We’re at an exciting stage in our development where consumers are embracing our green message and kids are engaged by the hands-on approach to being creative.”

“We’re proud to announce retail placement of Scrap Kins Recycled paper portfolios and themebooks at RiteAid stores for Back to School 2009 and Calendars at Indigo Books & Music in Canada,” said Mr. Yanish.” Our interactive products feature Green Tips & Activities for kids and include craft projects kids can make using recyclable materials found at home.”

Inspired by Brian Yanish’s childhood drawings, The Scrap Kins are a family of creatures that live in a recycling center and build a world out of the things people throw away. Designed for kids (Ages 3 – 8), The Scrap Kins mission is to foster eco-awareness and encourage children to use their imagination. Recycle, Re-imagine, Re-create!
