Thomasville, NC – The Thomasville Area Chamber of Commerce has found a way to combine its Buy Local campaign with protecting the environment while showing members how much they’re appreciated.

Doug Croft, president of the Thomasville chamber, said chamber leaders decided to pass out membership packets in reusable shopping bags emblazoned with a Buy Local Thomasville logo during their annual membership appreciation day Friday. Croft said the bags are a continuation of a countywide campaign to bring attention to how important it is to support local businesses.

“A year ago with our partnership with the Lexington chamber, we did some banners and joint advertising where we used the Buy Local logo,” Croft said. “We usually take the countywide approach because we are all promoting shop Davidson County, but this time we wanted to focus on Thomasville.”
