Fashion, Facebook, and ‘Flaunt’ at California Gift Show

(Los Angeles, Calif.) — Who says education has to be mind numbing and dull? At the upcoming California Gift Show (www.californiagiftshow.com), Jan. 16–19 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, retailing is fundamental and the course load is easy on the eyes and pocketbook. All events and seminars are free for show attendees.

Gym class was never as fun (or sexy) as Flaunt, choreographed by Danny Teeson of Queer Eye for the Straight Girl fame, returning to the California Gift Show for two shows daily. In between, attendees will get expert advice from Melissa Haberstroh with her popular Retail by Design: A Blueprint to Successful Lifestyle-Merchandising and learn How to Prosper During a Slow Economy with Barbara Wold.

Liezel Munez Gunn, West Coast contributing editor for The O list, will lead a lively discussion with industry insiders about Trends for the Generations: Baby Boomers, Gen X and Gen Y while Lynn Switanowski asks the question of ever-increasing importance: Are you You Tubing, Facebooking, Twittering and Flikring your Way to New Customers?

For those still daunted by the online world, we’ll show you step-by-step how to build and maintain a fully functional store website that can increase in-store traffic and add the possibility of online s ales. Plus, one lucky attendee will win their very own website, built by RhinoWebgroup.com – Website 101: The Basics.
