Candy’s Flowers and Gifts Opens in OnstedBy Arlene BachanovLenConnect.com

Onsted, MI – For about the last three years, Candy and Eric Robinson’s business was about as mobile as a business can get. The couple traveled to events such as community festivals to sell a wide variety of pet-themed merchandise, a livelihood whose transportation needs quickly expanded first to a U-Haul and then to a 24-foot trailer.

When they decided the next step was a building in which to store their wares, the search led them to a former flower shop in Onsted that came complete with a cooler, and a new business direction for the couple was born. They purchased the inventory of a Brooklyn florist who was closing down, and opened their own shop.

Candy’s Flowers and Gifts, located at 101 N. Main St. in Onsted, opened May 7 — just days before Mother’s Day.
