Custom shirts make a nice niche for sports storeBy Steve StaedlerBrookfieldNOW.com

Brookfield, WI – If you’re looking for a gift for that hard-to-buy-for person, Brian Benecky has you – and them – covered.

As owner of Fan Appreciation at Brookfield Square, Benecky has carved out a niche in the apparel market by being able to take photos, images, words – or a combination of all three – and make them into a custom shirt or sweat shirt.

“Being able to give someone a truly customized shirt is a great gift that people always seem to love,” he said. “We can take an existing photo or image, and really make it into something unique that reflects the personality of the person giving the gift or the recipient.”

Benecky began making customized clothing a few years ago. Since then he has steadily grown this side of his business to making shirts and clothing for businesses across the country, as well as individual orders from walk-in customers in the mall.

“It sounds cliché to say it, but with our capabilities, no order is too big for us to handle,” he said. “Just two weeks ago we did an order for a local advertising agency’s company outing. The shirts had four-color logos on the front and back. The colors really popped off the shirts and stood out; they were very pleased with them.”
