The Gourmet Market Showcases More Than 150 Companies

Dallas, TX — Dallas Market Center, the world’s largest wholesale merchandise resource, today announced that The Gourmet Market will showcase more than 150 gourmet companies with a variety of new lines during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market taking place January 14–20, 2009. The Gourmet Market is the 25,000-square-foot shared showroom that features more than 2,500 product lines of gourmet foods, kitchen accessories, casual tabletop and gourmet gadgets. As the only open daily gourmet showroom in the United States, it serves as a culinary showplace for the newest products from leading chefs and gourmet companies. New companies to show in January include The Cowgirl Gourmet, Enrico Products LLC, To Market To Market, Zaguán Bakery & Café, and many more.

The Cowgirl Gourmet is a family owned and operated business in Northeast Mississippi. It’s famous “chocolate gravy” recipe has been in the family for more than 40 years. It can be served over steamy, hot biscuits filled with melted cheese for a sweet morning treat (www.thecowgirlgourmet.com).

A wide selection of Enrico Products LLC will be available in The Gourmet Market. Enrico Products offer unique, high quality, environmentally friendly items for the kitchen and entertaining. Its handcrafted line of bamboo products includes cutting boards, bowls and box cheese graters. The one-of-a-kind carved root bowls, platters and other pieces round out the collection (www.enricoproducts.com).

To Market To Market offers a “Spice Up Your Life Collection” allowing anyone to create a “Masterpiece in a Moment” since today’s busy cooks have very little time to spend in their kitchens. The collection has no preservatives, MSG, extenders, fillers or salt. Products in the collection include “Jack and the Bean Dip,” “Roma’s Burning,” “A Garden of Good Eatin’,” “It’s Greek to Me” – just to name a few (www.tomarket-tomarket.com).

Zaguán Bakery & Café based in Dallas, Texas and is the city’s first Latin café and bakery offering Latin foods, breads, cakes, and pastries. Zaguán is offering its famous cookies to wholesale buyers through The Gourmet Market beginning in January 2009, including private labeling. “Alfajores,” delicious cookies from Argentina, are two cookies joined in the middle with a caramel filling called “dulce de leche,” and dusted with powdered sugar (www.zaguan.com).

Food tastings will be offered daily in The Gourmet Market from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Friday until 8 p.m.). Stop by and enjoy delicious foods to satisfy your gourmet appetite. “The Grape Vine” will offer wine tastings Friday from noon to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. While you’re there drop your business card for a chance to win prizes offered by The Gourmet Market exhibitors.

Dallas Market Center hosts multiple markets simultaneously in January so buyers may select from the widest range of product categories: Total Home & Gift Market (January 14–20), Holiday & Home Expo (January 14–20), International Lighting Market (January 15–19) and the FINDS Dallas Temp Show (January 16–19).
