Danielson Designs Introduces Biggest New Product Launch Ever at Spring Gift Shows This Month

Trinidad, Colo. – Sluggish economy? Tell that to Danielson Designs, Ltd. of Trinidad, Colo. The country’s top wall décor company, known for wood-crafted quality product made in small town Colorado, just recorded their best sales year since the company’s inception 16 years ago. Bullish for the future? You bet. Danielson Designs is unveiling its biggest product launch ever at upcoming gift shows in Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Toronto, Denver and New York.

“While most companies are scaling back in 2009, we thought it was more important than ever to give homeowners and gift-givers beautiful, high-quality and affordable décor options that combine on-trend design with heartfelt sentiment that speaks to what is truly important in the midst of these hard times: Our friends, our family, our homes, and of course, a little humor,” says Mark Danielson, president and co-owner of Danielson Designs. “Our products make it easy to give a gift that is both meaningful and affordable and also help you update your home with messages that are beautiful and personal.”

And Danielson Designs has worked hard to put together the biggest product launch in their company history. “We know it’s tough to be a retailer in this economy, and we’ve worked hard to develop a new product launch that’s fresh and sure to breathe life and new sales into our retailers’ stores,” says Mark. “We also are more aggressive than ever in offering sales programs, point of purchase displays and plannograms for retailers that will insure an increase in sales per linear foot in their stores. That’s our promise.”

Some of Danielson Designs’ exciting new products unveiled at the upcoming gift shows include:

Book Crops
A new product line that pays homage to written word from the worn and dusty pages of favorite classic books . Though the print may fade, these quotes never lose their vibrancy and are etched into these wood signs that resemble an old printers block of ages gone by.

“I think of Book Crops as captions for your family history,” says Annie Danielson, co-owner of Danielson Designs, “I love to use them as accents over and under the frames that showcase our favorite family photos. My personal favorite is a Jane Austen quote, ‘There is nothing like staying home for real comfort.'” Book Crops retail for $24.95.

Antiquity
A line of layered, framed prints; contoured wall hangings; and picture frames that showcase the new square trend. The Antiquity line retails for $14.95 – 34.95.

Flip Flops
This new line helps you harness your mood swings to save the planet. The fun desktop square signs are only 3″ x 3″ and made of bamboo, the planet’s most eco-friendly building material. Depending on your mood, you can flip the opposing sayings on either end of the square, such as “I love my job” vs. “Is it Friday yet?” or “Hormonally Balanced” vs. “You better take cover.” Flip Flops retail for $ 9.95

Juvenile Collection
Danielson Designs completely re-designed their juvenile collection this year to reflect the newest design trends while still preserving an aesthetic that will endure through time. They started with hand-painted patterns created by a local watercolor artist and added rich chocolate browns throughout the palette for warmth. The products also feature new, large molding for accent. In addition, the company is launching a new, kids’ version of their popular Wallligraphy line, giving families all the tools to create a beautiful collage in their child’s room. The new Juvenile Collection retails for $24.95 to $64.95.

Crafted in Small Town USA and Devoted to People and the Planet Danielson Designs is committed to crafting every product in small town USA. “We know it would be cheaper to make our products overseas,” says Annie. “But we are 100 percent committed to consistently providing a better designed, better crafted product than any overseas manufacturer.” All Danielson Designs’ products are eco-friendly, made from 100 percent recycled wood and finished only with water-based varnishes and paints.

“Sure, it would be easier to use oil-based lacquers – that’s what most companies do – but we’ve always used water-based products. It’s not only better for the planet, but it’s better for our people who are elbow-deep in these materials all day long.”

Making More than A Purchase… Making A Difference
Mark and Annie Danielson started their company in a small, red barn in the mountains of Trinidad, Colo., the old mining town they call home. “Our sole motivation was to provide employment in the local area during some tough economic times,” says Danielson. “We call it the Power of the Pebble. We’ve been amazed at the ripple effects from the tiny pebble we threw when we started our company 15 years ago, from the creation of jobs for our small rural town to building water wells in Africa. We invite our customers to be part of our story and hope they are inspired to toss pebbles of their own.”
