GHTA Confirms New Board During 2010 Conference

Grand Rapids, MI – The Gift and Home Trade Association (GHTA), the industry’s non-profit professional trade association, confirmed its 2011 Board of Directors during the 8th Annual GHTA Conference, held November 18-20 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The GHTA’s executive board is as follows: Beth Lang of Alexa’s Angels, Inc., chairman of the board; Marc Rice of the Southern Link, president; Julie Dix of Taggies, Inc., vice president; Todd Litzman of Brandwise, Inc., treasurer; and Frederic Contino of Midwest-CBK, secretary.

Additionally, the GHTA has added several new members to its 2010 board, each of whom bring a wealth of talent and experience to the organization: Paula Butler of The Butler Group, Inc., Cindy Henry of Wellspring, Donna Moore of Terry Moore & Associates, Inc., Denny King of Ganz, Mike Thorne with Yankee Candle Co., and John Keiser of OneCoast. Continuing their board terms are David Moses of Lazy Susan and Dennis Nemcek of DNA.

All GHTA board members are chosen using a nomination and interview process. The members of the GHTA then vote to confirm each member at the annual GHTA conference.

“Already this board is hard at work,” said Marc Rice, the current GHTA president. “We’ve been identifying industry challenges and growth opportunities, and we look forward to strengthening the gift and home industry.”
