Historic downtown Canal Fulton was already a fun holiday shopping stop, with nostalgic playthings at The Toys Time Forgot, huggable residents at Keillor’s A Teddy Bear Shoppe, and the disappearing delicacies of Deliciously Different Fudge.

But this summer, those stores welcomed a new neighbor: Canal Fulton Glassworks. Visitors can see the hand-crafted work of dozens of Ohio artists and even see glass-blowing displays.

Owner Bud Graham said the family decided to open a glass-related business after his son, Brian, graduated from Kent State University with a degree in glass art.

”When asked what motivated the decision to begin the journey to restore this really old building and bring to life a new business, the only answer I can give is blind faith,” he said.

Graham said after much ”soul searching,” he settled on Canal Fulton because it is a quaint little town along the popular Canalway corridor and has a reputation for family and outdoor activities.
