New Luxe Living’ Section to Enhance GLM’s Global Home Sourcing Shows

White Plains NY – “Luxe Living” – a new area for high-end resources and distinctive, customized booths – will launch at Global Home Textiles and Global Home Decor, May 6-8, 2008, at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas NV. Upscale companies from Italy, Portugal, Israel, Japan, Thailand and India are expected to participate.

“Among the many enhancements at GLM’s 2008 global home marketplace, the ‘Luxe Living’ area will present higher-end companies from around the world, featuring a new level of resources that will expand the shows’ breadth of product,” said Penny Sikalis, vice president, global business development. “Exhibitors with high-quality product and a more sophisticated presentation will be showcased in this distinctive Luxe Living area on the showfloor, differentiating them for the convenience of focused buyers.”

Additional market plans – designed to draw traffic throughout the entire hall – include the creation of a Main Aisle adjoining Global Home Textiles and Global Home Decor, and ending at an exclusive Buyer’s Lounge filled with attractive amenities. This central thoroughfare will feature “hop on, hop off” transportation along its entire length. A new Business HUB, located in the cross-aisle above the Cafes, will have internet connection and computer kiosks, plus other amenities, for all show participants.

GLM has also expanded the team structure for Global Home Textiles and Global Home Decor, launched an aggressive marketing campaign and an enhanced buyer outreach program. Outreach efforts will include one-on-one meetings, advisory councils, networking events and more.

The two shows also will benefit from a collocation with the Gourmet Housewares Show, produced and managed by George Little Management, LLC (GLM) at the Sands Expo, and the National Hardware Show, Lawn and Garden World and the Homewares Showtm, produced and managed by Reed Exhibitions at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). Frequent shuttle service will connect the two convention centers and hotels, and pre-show co-marketing efforts will promote the entire marketplace of home products.

Global Home Decor and Global Home Textiles will run May 6-8, 2008, at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV, serving U.S. importers, wholesalers and mid- to large volume retailers seeking to source directly from overseas producers. Global Home Decor will showcase home decor manufacturers and their manufacturing capabilities, presenting some 300 overseas suppliers of accent furniture, home accessories, lighting, tabletop and giftware to North American home decor buyers. Global Home Textiles will showcase home textiles manufacturers and their manufacturing capabilities, featuring some 350 manufacturers from around the world.

Global Home Decor and Global Home Textiles are produced and managed by GLM, a dmg world media company.
