Godiva Introduces New Products To Travel-Retail
The confectionery company will return to the Duty Free Show of the Americas this year with a focus on South American expansion
Chocolate supplier Godiva will return this year to the Duty Free Show of the Americas in Orlando with a focus on expanding its business in the region by offering an updated and extended product range.
The company will introduce from mid-February the reworked Gold Collection, offering a wider selection of chocolates in new boxes and sizes. The single-layer gift boxes will come with 14, 24 or 34 assorted pieces, and the supplier claims the compact format is ideal for travelling and slipping into a carry-on or laptop case. The boxes are also wrapped with a chocolate-brown satin ribbon.
Godiva will also introduce new flavours for its Gems and Tablets ranges as well as a limited-edition Dessert Truffes ballotin (pictured), to be launched in April and containing 18 truffles in flavours such as cheesecake, tiramisu and sable aux fraises.
“Sales have been driven by the success of Gems and Tablets in both North and South American markets,” said Godiva international travel-retail region manager Americas and Caribbean Diane Buchanan. “We will continue to expand our business in the region, with a particularly strong focus on the South America emerging markets.
