Helen Brett’s world-renowned trade show brings cutting-edge products, latest fashion trends to New Orleans

The Helen Brett New Orleans International Jewelry and Merchandise Show, the oldest and largest premier trade show of its kind in the South, will dazzle buyers at its upcoming spring event scheduled for May 12-15, 2016 at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center.

Now celebrating its 64th year in the Crescent City, the highly anticipated Jewelry Show will feature a record number of 500 booths with 270 wholesale exhibitors from around the country who will display the latest trends in jewelry, apparel, perfumes, artwork, home décor and gifts. Nearly 12,000 buyers from across the Gulf Coast region are expected to attend the semi-annual trade event.

“Buyers are constantly seeking the most innovative and exciting trends. The Helen Brett Jewelry Show connects these passionate buyers with some of the best jewelers and artists from around the country. We offer the best designs, the latest products, the most popular fashion styles and everything else that is trending all under one roof,” said Brett Kolinek, president of Helen Brett Enterprises.

Helen Brett Enterprises also announced the return of the celebrated Beauty Pavilion where dozens of health, hair and skincare experts will demonstrate their newest products, latest styles and current trends. Helen Brett officials will hold a special ceremony to bestow the second annual Beauty Pavilion’s Pinnacle Award to a leading, local beauty professional during May’s show. Louisiana’s famed hair stylist John Jay was last year’s recipient of the inaugural award.

Since its first New Orleans show in 1952, Helen Brett Enterprises has hosted more than 200 jewelry trade shows in the Crescent City, attracting millions of visitors to the riverfront. Founded the year after the end of WWII, Helen Brett’s mission was to produce and promote market driven trade shows and conferences throughout the United States. Her legend is still carried out today by the family’s fourth generation who host semi-annual trade shows in New Orleans, Memphis and Baton Rouge. Four trade shows are held each year at the New Orleans Convention Center in January, May, August and November.
