Deerfield, IL – When Ken Freeman’s wife, Julie, gave birth to their first child in 2004, Freeman designed a T-shirt for the baby that read, “Mom and Me, BFF.”

It was a gesture that ultimately resulted in the Freeman’s Deerfield-based promotional merchandising company, Jelli Goods, which is celebrating both five years in business and its new retail gift boutique at the company’s Deerfield warehouse.

“I’m a big fan of T-shirts with positive messages, and I think people enjoy expressing themselves on their clothing,” said Ken. “It’s a blank canvas for them whether it’s art or words. It’s a depiction of their personality.”
