LA Mart, LAMKT renew, rebrand promotional alliance for January markets

Building upon a successful co-promotional strategy launched in 2014, the management teams of the LA Mart and LAMKT (formerly the California Gift Show) have once again teamed up to kick-off a new campaign for the Winter 2016 LA Gift and Home Market — “United We Brand.” Highlighting the new initiatives, improvements and tremendous gift and home product resources that Los Angeles’ permanent showrooms and temporary exhibitors offer to western region retailers, the campaign also puts special emphasis on the buying experience. As part of the unified effort, both venues will honor each other’s admission badge and provide free shuttle service between each location and host hotels.

The LA Mart and LAMKT will each feature a slightly different date pattern for the Winter 2016 editions. Held Thursday through Tuesday, Jan. 28-Feb. 2, 2016, the LA Mart’s Winter Market is at Broadway and Washington Streets. The LAMKT is in South Hall at the Los Angeles Convention Center Saturday through Tuesday, Jan. 30-Feb. 2.

New Initiatives

Both venues will bring a number of new initiatives and features to LA Gift and Home Market Week. Among the highlights:

LA MART

In addition to a number of new gift, home, furniture and lifestyle showrooms, lines and introductions, the LA Mart Winter Market will also feature the debut of Conscious Biz LA. Conscious Biz LA will bring together more than 100 L.A.-based eco-friendly, vegan, solar-powered, recycled, up-cycled, carbon neutral and other conscious wholesale businesses to uplift the thousands of buyers that pour into downtown LA to stock the nation’s retail shelves with gifts, housewares and more each January. Conscious Biz LA will be featured on the second floor at the LA Mart. For more information, visit www.lamart.com.

LAMKT

The January 2016 edition of the rebranded LAMKT will feature a new layout that brings together exhibits previously featured in two separate halls on two different floors at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Now housed entirely in South Hall, the dynamic new, expanded floor plan will enhance traffic flow and offer easier navigation. The new layout will also allow for improved categorization of product and a clear delineation between sections, including show mainstays like Gifts, Design LA, Makers’ Market, Personal Style, Boardwalk, World Style, Vintage and Jewelry Cash & Carry, as well as new categories and new areas of focus now in development, such as the California Dreamin’ showcase of California-made resources and others to be announced.
