Las Vegas Market hosts Gift For Life benefit at summer market

Las Vegas Market announced today that it will host its 6th annual “Up on the Roof” gala charity event benefiting Gift For Life, the sole national charitable organization for the gift, stationery and home décor industries, on Monday, August 1, during the Summer 2016 Las Vegas Market, July 31-August 4, 2016.  Party-goers will enjoy cocktails, appetizers, dancing, music and access to a spectacular selection of nearly 20 exceptional silent auction prize packages – valued between $200 to $4,850 – including the 50th Annual Country Music Awards in Nashville, TN, and Nascar Sprint Races across the United States as well as a variety of Las Vegas-focused prizes, such as hotel stays, dinners and show tickets.

Among the prizes available for silent auction during “Up on the Roof” are travel package prizes to Costa Rica and New Orleans as well unique experiences such as the 50th Annual Country Music Awards in Nashville, Nascar Sprint Races, and an ultimate “Top Gun” adventure will allow one lucky buyer to serve as a fighter pilot for a day in a military aircraft.

Las Vegas-focused prizes available through silent auction include multi-night hotel stays at the Cosmopolitan, Golden Nugget, Hilton Grand Vacation, The D, SLS, Stratosphere, TI, Trump and Venetian; dinners at Giada and McCalls Heartland Grill; Happy Hour at High Roller; and tickets to shows including Geordie Brown, Marriage Can Be Murder, Mystere and The Pin-Up Show.

The “Up on the Roof” fundraiser and reception will be held in an awe-inspiring setting—the WorldView Ballroom on the 16th Floor of Building B—showcasing dazzling views of the Las Vegas skyline.  From 6 to 8 p.m., party-goers will enjoy cocktails, appetizers, dancing, music and the silent auction.  Tickets, which cost $25 each, may be purchased online at https://6thannualupontherooffundraiser.splashthat.com/, and at specially-designated kiosks onsite during Las Vegas Market. All guests will receive one raffle ticket with each ticket purchase and can buy additional raffle tickets at the auction. All funds raised will benefit Gift for Life.

Las Vegas Market’s 6th Annual “Up on the Roof” silent auction items include:

• The Ultimate Top Gun Experience: a one-fighter pilot mission experience for one person on the SIAI Marchetti SF260 or the Extra 300L, including briefing on the Rules of Engagement, the physiological effects of G-forces, practice with formation flying, basic maneuvers, five to six dogfights, and debriefing afterwards; a mini DVD that records your entire flying experience from three onboard cockpit cameras.
• Costa Rica Getaway in Playa Herradura or Playa Hermossa, for six days and six nights at a private villa for up to eight people.
• A trip for two to the 50th Annual Country Music Awards & Country Music Awards after-party in Nashville, Tennessee for three days and two nights.
