Local Artists Open Temporary Holiday Store in Newport News
Newport News, VA – Jo Harding knows just about everyone on the Peninsula, so why not partner with two good friends and open a temporary store for the holidays?
Harding, who calls herself an “art supporter” and often has been found in the likes of the Peninsula Fine Arts Center gift shop, recently opened Pop-Shop, an arts and “holiday surprises” store in the Hilton Village section of Newport News with her two friends, artists Crys Warlitner and Joelle Keffer.
The trio decided to open the store for a short period only, and Pop-Shop will close on Dec. 29. The ladies hope to reopen occasionally — in no predetermined location — for temporary seasonal stores throughout the year.
