Marie Osmond Announces Winners of Mother, Daughter, Sister Friend Contest

LAKE FOREST, Calif. – Marie Osmond Dolls is proud to announce that Darlene Cameron and her local retailer, Once Upon a Time, are the grand prize winners of the Mother, Daughter, Sister, Friend contest. As the winning retailer, Charisma Brands will host a special brunch and signing event at Once Upon a Time with doll sculptors Karen and Rachel Scott May 19, in Tupelo, Mississippi. Cameron will receive an all-expenses-paid trip for two to the event. Brunch tickets and information is available at marieosmond.com.

Karen and Rachel are a mother-daughter doll sculpting duo for Marie Osmond Dolls who inspired the theme of the contest: “celebrating the enriching bond of sisterhood women share, whether as mothers, daughters, sisters or friends.” Entrants were invited to submit a 12-inch by 12-inch scrapbook page of themselves along with a mother, daughter, sister or a friend. Cameron submitted a touching page, detailing the tragic story of the loss of her own mother and a special Holly Hobbie blanket that had been passed down through four generations of daughters.

Cameron’s page was selected as one of 10 finalists by Marie, and members of the Marie Osmond Doll Club (MOD Squad) voted to select Cameron as the grand prize winner. Cameron will also receive hand-signed collectible dolls, Sasha 2007 and Mary 2007, and her winning scrapbook page will be featured in an upcoming gift book by Marie Osmond.
