With hundreds of new exhibitors showcasing product in 35 different categories, the TEMPORARY collections at The Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market® (July 10 – 17, 2013, TEMPORARIES July 12-16) present an extensive, fascinating and ever-evolving selection of home, gift, rug and apparel product.

An incubator for innovative new products, AmericasMart®’s expansive TEMPORARY collection is offered alongside its comprehensive PERMANENT GIFT, HOME & RUG and APPAREL collections in one continuous, easy-to-navigate campus.

NEW TABLETOP LUXE CATEGORY
As the number of exhibitors in the TEMPORARY collections grows, so does the offering of juried categories featuring lines that are carefully curated by a panel of industry experts.

Making its debut at the July 2013 Market is the Tabletop LUXE category highlighting innovative and elegant tabletop accessories and entertaining products.

Some of the impressive inaugural Tabletop Luxe exhibitors include: Isabella Adams’ Home Décor line showcasing tabletop accessories and accent pieces adorned with Swarovski®crystals and other embellishments; Emilo Robba/ Fleurissima Inc featuring the exquisite Flower Bowl for artful arrangements; Australian Design & Marketing presenting Provence Platters created from repurposed oak wine barrel heads; Red Pomegranate displaying handmade glass tableware; and Ben & Lael showcasing hand-crafted “metal couture” tabletop accessories. JULY 2013 TEMPORARY CATEGORY HIGHLIGHTS
The not-to-be-missed HD Home collection of fabulous design-driven home furnishings and décor manufacturers returns to the Center Hall of Floor 1 of Building 1, and kicks off with theHD Home Preview Party on Thursday, July 11. Treating buyers to more of their exquisite designs, favorite HD Home presenters Amy Howard Home, Camilla House Imports,Elaine Smith, Inc, Emporium Home, French Heritage, Jamie Young Company, Lowcountry Originals, and Modern History make up the July 2013 collection.

The temporary selection of design-driven home and gift products continues to Building 2 Floor 1 with the HIGH DESIGN® and HIGH DESIGN LUXE juried collections. Featuring lifestyle-focused luxury goods at all price points, the HIGH DESIGN® collection is highlighted by Lily Juliet offering handmade serveware and table accessories; Mitchell Black LLCpresenting entertaining items, wall art and fine papers; and Modern-Twist bringing art to the table through artist and designer collaborations. Louise Gaskill Company’s lighting line crafted from vintage components and hand-applied gilt finishes, and Pyar & Co.’s custom-designed and hand-crafted sari-inspired pillow collection highlight the HIGH DESIGN LUXE collection of high-quality luxury goods.

Always popular among buyers, the Made in America collection continues its consistent growth at the July 2013 Market. This juried collection, located on Building 3 Floor 2, features a broad range of products that are both sourced and manufactured in the United States including All Things Shaker presenting an amazing display of passion and fine Shaker craftsmanship, and Found It In The Barn with fine products made from wood that has been recycled, rescued and/or harvested from environmentally responsible sources.

The Handmade Designs and Handmade Jewelry and Global Designs collections on Building 3 Floor 2 celebrate international and domestic craftsmanship, and offer buyers the chance to source truly artisan and one-of-a-kind pieces. Handmade items include Esclusso Ltd’s high-end candles; Heather Haase Designs’ jewelry; Vilmain’s pewter gifts; Ithil Metal Work’s unique Israeli jewelry; and Queen of My Heart’s canvas glitter wall art and stationery, along with many other exhibitors. Highlighting the Global Designs collection isCarana Corporation displaying 500 square feet of products made by Moroccan artists.

With products that are popular across gift stores of all kinds, the Gourmet LUXE and Gourmet collections on Building 2 Floor 2, and the Gourmet Housewares category on Building 2 Floor 3 allow buyers to discover interesting and innovative food and home entertaining products. The increasingly popular Gourmet LUXE juried collection returns with a group of higher price-point culinary delights including Beautiful Briny Sea, a sea salt purveyor that has grown its business through AmericasMart, and Mrs. Weinstein’s Toffee, a branch brand of Sweet Shop Candies, debuting at the Market. Witching Bath Co. featuring personal care potions for body, home, kitchen and garden; Plain & Simple Products presenting bath and body products that have been popular in Australia since 1847; candles by Creative Energy Candles whose wax can be used an anti-aging lotion; and Salacia Salts with hand-mixed, natural ingredient products that are packaged in reclaimed wine bottles and feature scents of the South.

As recent stronger sales of fine linens indicate increased consumer discretionary spending, the strong Fine Linens & Home Textiles and Home Accents & Home Furnishingscategories on Building 1 Floor 7 prepare buyers to meet the higher demand. Highlighting these categories are multiple lines exhibiting for the first time outside New York City includingChristen Maxwell LLC showcasing fabulous modern prints; Pehr Designs encouraging buyers to create their own looks through an assortment of classically simple, yet modern prints;Faribault Woolen Mill Co. presenting fashion-forward throws, accessories, scarves and blankets that are made on its 147-year-old machinery; In2green displaying earth-friendly home accessories and apparel that are made in America; and Qi Home with reinvented cashmere home goods. Also notable in the collection is The Pillow Bar presenting the down pillows with no prickly feathers.

Buyers looking to tap into the profitable Baby and Childrens’ markets will find top products in one easy-to-shop location on Building 3 Floor 3 in the AmericasMart’s Children’s Worldand the Modern Baby & Contemporary Kid juried collection. The centerpiece of the July Market, AmericasMart celebrates professional achievements at the most important and anticipated night in the gift and home industry, ICON HONORS 2013.

The ICON HONORS 2013 celebration will be Thursday, July 11 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, just blocks from AmericasMart. Cocktails will be served at 7 p.m., and the dinner and 2013 Honors Presentation begin at 7:30 p.m. Honors will be presented to home and gift retailers, manufacturers, sales agents and service providers from across the industry.
