Mud Pie Participates in Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk

Atlanta, GA – On October 12-14, 2007, Adrienne Boyer, executive vice president of Mud Pie, will join thousands of other dedicated women and men at the Atlanta Breast Cancer 3-Day walk, benefiting Susan G Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk for women and men who want to make a personal difference in the fight against breast cancer. Millions of dollars are expected to be raised for breast cancer research and patient support programs. Mud Pie is a Platinum Level team sponsor of this worthwhile event.”

As a Breast Cancer 3-Day participant, we have an opportunity to celebrate breast cancer survivorship, honor those who lost their lives to the disease, and ultimately, have an enormous impact on awareness and funding for breast cancer research and community outreach programs,” says Boyer. “We all know someone who has had breast cancer and Marcia Miller, our company president, lost a very close friend to the disease, so it was very important to us to support this walk.”

The Atlanta Breast Cancer 3-Day participants will cover about 20 miles a day, traveling at their own pace. The walkers will be supported by hundreds of volunteer crew members who will provide meals, liquid and snack stops, gear transport, hot showers, portable restrooms, safety on the streets and 24-hour medical services.
