Appleton, WI – Reader question: Do you know who bought the Glass Onion? That was my favorite store. I see someone working on the place, and I’m hoping it’s another bead store.

Answer: The incoming shop, opening in June, is called Fresh Expressions. It will be primarily a Door County-style gift and home décor boutique at 1011 W. College Ave., just west of downtown Appleton. But since customers are still knocking on the door looking for beads, new owner Beth Rippl is not going to pass up a good opportunity.
