New Director for Ambiente and Tendence

Punctually for Tendence 2011, Messe Frankfurt has announced a new Director for the Tendence and Ambiente Team. From 1 September 2011, Yvonne Engelmann will take over the Giving section and assume responsibility for organising that part of the fair revolving around individual gift ideas, trendy lifestyle products and high-grade jewellery. “I am very much looking forward to the new challenge and the great responsibility involved in taking over this exciting, innovative and creative section”, says Yvonne Engelmann. She adds: “My aim is to continue with the on-going process of strategic development in the Giving section as an order platform and source of inspiration, in the interests of both exhibitors and visitors.” In her new position, Engelmann will report to Nicolette Naumann, Vice President for Ambiente und Tendence.

A graduate in business management, Yvonne Engelmann has worked in the fair and event business for over 16 years, the last ten of them with the Messe Frankfurt Group where she was lastly project manager for new-customer acquisition in the guest-event division. Previously, she worked for the MFA subsidiary and the International Team of the Automechanika. Before coming to Messe Frankfurt, Yvonne Engelmann worked on both the exhibitor and event sides, including for ‘YOU’, the European youth trade fair. She has also been project manager for preparing and holding fitness congresses and has gathered professional experience in the fields of sales, marketing, communication and planning.

Tendence, the international consumer-goods platform Traditionally, Tendence is the biggest and most important order and trend platform in the second half of the year and is split into two main parts, Giving und Living. While Giving reflects the whole world of creative gift ideas, Living is the platform for the home, decorating and furnishing. From 26 to 30 August 2011, Tendence presents the latest trends for the coming autumn / winter season and offers a preview of new products for the spring and summer season of the following year. Ambiente, leading international trade fair

Ambiente is the leading international trade fair for products for the table, kitchen, household, giving and decorating segments, as well as for home and furnishing accessories. For five days at the beginning of the business year, over 4,300 exhibitors show what consumers will be able to see in shops around the world in 2012. However, Ambiente is a must not only for a unique range of products that is unparalleled in terms of depth and breadth anywhere in the world but also because, as the world’s leading consumer-goods fair, it is distinguished by a multitude of events, trend presentations and awards ceremonies.
