Ottawa, ON – StaciGochanourthinks the timing could not have been better for opening her downtown Ottawa shop.

Chic Boutique opened its doors to the publicat724 La SalleSt. in mid-September. The shopfront formerly was occupied by The Class Room, a store that sold teaching supplies and educational toys, games and books for 29 years.

The building has an entirely new look and feel. The black and white awning shading a window display ofpurses, wallets and scarves is a changefrom the colorful toy displays that used to faceLa Salle Street’s700 block.A temporary wall erected inside the store has redesigned the interiordisplay area.

“A lot of people can’t believe it’s the same place,” Gochanour said.
