New Italy Gift Shop on The MoveBy BryonNews.com

Byron Shire, AU – THE Casa Vecchia Gift Shop at the New Italy complex is on the move and will soon take up residence in the former premises of the Osteria Veneta restaurant on the site.

The shop will move into the heritage-listed mud brick house at the site hopefully by the end of the month.

Proceeds from the shop go toward maintenance of the New Italy complex. Volunteer co-ordinator of the shop, Gail Williams, said she was excited by the move.

“I am excited because it means we can expand our range of items for sale. It will also give our customers a unique shopping experience of stepping back in time once entering our mud brick building, which is a replica of an original mud house built here at New Italy in the 1880s,” Ms Williams said.
