Pacific Market Center Kicks Off Seattle Market Week With Summer Gift And Home Accessories Show

Seattle – Pacific Market Center, the leading destination market on the west coast, announces the Summer Gift & Home Accessories Show, August 15-21, offering an extensive and innovative resource for home, lifestyle and giftware. Home of cutting-edge technology, superior buyer services and a relaxed atmosphere, Pacific Market Center will offer buyers a multitude of business building opportunities including inspiring educational seminars, networking opportunities, as well as special manufacturers’ promotions.

Nationally-recognized speakers from the retail, marketing, technology and merchandising industries are scheduled to share their expertise on visual merchandising, competitive marketing strategies and internet marketing at the complimentary seminars offered daily during the show. The complimentary Breakfast Club opens at 8.30 preceding all 9 am seminars in the Learning Forum. Being in the forefront of utilizing technology to make the experience for buyers as productive and memorable as possible, Pacific Market Center will be streaming the seminars live as well as making them available via pod cast following the event.

Pacific Market Center continues to be a leading destination market for the United States. The Summer Gift and Home Accessories Show will feature new trendsetting product lines and several new and expanded showrooms, ideal for buyers looking to expand their product offerings. In addition to innovative ideas and resources, Pacific Market Center will offer attendees Early Buying days Wednesday and Thursday as well as late night buying on Friday until 8 pm. Buyers can get recharged the next morning using the daily espresso bar.

Following the successful introduction at the Winter Show, the Afternoon Tea Room will be open every afternoon between 4-5 pm where buyers can ask questions and network with showroom principals at the “new buyers’ tea”. Free WI-FI in common areas, business center and touch screen directories allows for convenient product and line searches.

Pacific Market Center continues the collaboration with Seattle Gift Show, presenting Seattle Market Week which gives buyers access to 10,000 innovative national and international products. Pacific Market Center is co-sponsoring a party for buyers on Saturday night on the terrace garden outside the Washington State Convention Center and Trade Center, the site for the Seattle Gift Show. Free parking and shuttle service between the two shows and participating Seattle Market Week hotels will be available throughout the weeklong buying event. Providing a respite from busy buying days, a Country Western party will be held outdoors on Monday night between 6-8 pm treating party-goers to barbecue, beer, a country band and dancing.

New for this year’s show, complimentary massage bar services will be available Wednesday through Monday afternoons giving buyers another opportunity to unwind. In addition, hosted bars and complimentary snacks will be available each afternoon between 3-6 p.m.

Pacific Market Center shows draw thousands of buyers from more than 30 channels of distribution including high-end department stores, specialty retailers, home furnishings, gourmet food, hospitality, garden, spas, wineries, corporate, Internet and regional chain outlets. Buyers from the Pacific Northwest and throughout the United States and Canada travel to Seattle to visit the Pacific Market Center’s exclusive permanent showrooms.

The Summer Gift and Home Accessories Show will take place from August 15 to August 21, 2007 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily with the show closing at 4pm on Tuesday at Pacific Market Center.
