People Toy Company brings beloved Japanese products stateside

Never underestimate the power of word-of-mouth. Moms are a wonderful resource to share tips for childcare, baby products and toys. When People Toy Company was searching for the best sales reps to bring their beloved line of Japanese products stateside, they asked those who knew best – toy retailers. The same four names – ESP Sales, Javilyn Sales, Kathleen Milne Company and Sugar B Sales – kept popping up. It wasn’t too difficult for Rudy Valenta of People Toy Company to make his hires for his four key sales territories.

People Toy Company welcomes the following sales reps (listed in alphabetical order):
• Ellen Shankman will lead ESP Sales to handle the Northeast Territory of CT, Upstate NY, NH, ME, MA, VT and RI.
• Jim and Erin Lynch of Javilyn Sales will oversee the Midwest Territory of IL, WI, MI, IN.
• Kathleen Milne, principal of Kathleen Milne Company, is charged with the South West Territory of CA, AZ, HI.
• Betsy Harney of Sugar B Sales will supervise the Pacific Northwest Territory of OR, WA, ID, AK.

“I knew we had a hard task ahead of us,” explained Valenta, president of the U.S. branch of Japan’s People Co., Ltd., “in introducing a Japanese brand to the U.S. market. It would be impossible to accomplish all of our goals without a strong sales team with long-standing relationships with the toy industry. After all, they are the eyes and ears that listen to our retailers.”

“Our selection process was simple,” continued Valenta. “We interviewed dozens of retailers to listen to who they thought were their best and most reliable sales reps. The same names were recommended again and again in conversation.”

“We now have the most knowledgeable, organized and friendly sales group in the country on my team. I couldn’t be more excited to have them represent People Toy Company and help us on our mission to getting our products into stores and in children’s hands.”
