A former gift shop retailer herself, Alyssa Watters managed a leading stationery shop on the North Shore before starting her own company. Today her work is found in nearly 100 shops around the country. During the Philadelphia Gift Show, her designs were featured among the many unique, handcrafted designs in the show’s popular Makers’ Market section.

“The Philadelphia Gift Show is the go-to resource for retailers seeking those unique designs and artisan crafts that can set their store apart and we love recognizing talented artists like Alyssa Watters,” said Russ Turner, show director, Philadelphia Gift Show. “Her work captures the spirit of what the Philadelphia Gift Show is about — a one-stop resource for the region’s retailers to find high quality, unique designs, as well as all the top name brands, new discoveries and buyer services they need to survive and thrive.”

During the July show, retailers had the chance to get a first-hand look at best-selling lines and up-and-coming designs in everything from giftware, decorative accessories, tabletop, fashion accessories, designer/artisan items and more. In addition, a full roster of free educational programs touched on hot-button topics like blogging, social media, creative packaging and merchandising ideas. Reinforcing the show’s reputation as a cost-effective, convenient resource for its regional audience, retailers enjoyed a number of time and money-saving features, including complimentary buyer breakfasts, free parking, hotel shuttle service, daily giveaways and the popular “Stay For The Last Day” free lunch and hotel rebate program.
