Photographers Davis, Thomas, Open Gift Shop in Gulf ShoresBy GulfCoastNewsToday.com

Gulf Shores, AL – A couple of locals will rely on their own creations, and those of other area artists and crafters, as featured fare in their newly-opened gift shop on Pleasure Island.

As national and regional chains continue their push into the Alabama Gulf Coast’s retail community, partners Diane Davis and Fonda Thomas hope to carve a hyper-local niche with their new store, Beach Reflections LLC. The gift store opened in mid-February, located a block off the beach at 112 East 1st Avenue in Gulf Shores.

The two partners are well known beach photographers who met at a photo class Davis was presenting. Their own photo creations will be featured on prints and postcards, as well as the photography works of fellow locals Steve Jones, Kim Loftis, Tommy Patterson, Lila Moss Harris and Michael Thomas. The shop also does professional matting of pictures.
