Seattle Gift Show forms Retail Advisory Board
To help ensure that the Seattle Gift Show is effectively meeting the buying and professional development needs of Pacific Northwest retailers, Urban Expositions has formed the Seattle Gift Show Retail Advisory Board. Comprised of leading retailers from independent gift shops, concessionaires and other specialty retail outlets, the board will help guide Urban Expositions as it continues to fine-tune the product mix, educational and buyer service offerings of the semi-annual show at the Washington State Convention Center.
The new board will hold its first meeting during the upcoming August 18-21, 2017 show. Members of the board include:
- Ed Delgado, Aramark buyer for Olympic National Park
- Andy Dinnison, owner, Boo Radley’s
- Renata Tatman, buyer, Seattle Art Museum
- Terri Pelham, Aramark buyer, Denali, Glacier Bay and Olympic National Park
- Betsy Earl, product specialist, Ventures NP
- Kirsten Wilson, owner, City People’s Mercantile
“We’re always working on new ideas and enhancements to secure the Seattle Gift Show’s position as the ‘go-to’ resource for its core Pacific Northwest buyer base,” said Lisa Glosson, vice president, souvenir/gift division, Urban Expositions. “There’s no better way to hone in on what today’s retailers need than going directly to the source. From sharing thoughts on the best show floor product mix to education and networking ideas – this talented group of retailers will provide the perfect sounding board for programs and promotions we’re working on and, most important, a tremendous resource for fresh new ideas.
