Seattle Gift Show kicks off first to market in 2017

As the first show of the winter 2017 buying season, the Seattle Gift Show brings a versatile selection of products built around the Pacific Northwest lifestyle to the Washington State Convention Center, January 6-9, 2017. From breaking design and color trends to emerging artisans, the return of the Urban Craft Uprising Pavilion, regional specialties and top name lines –  the region’s retailers will be first to see the industry’s newest designs and introductions for the coming year. Further strengthening the show floor offerings, the Seattle Gift Show temporary exhibits come together with the permanent showrooms at the new Seattle Mart to co-host Seattle Market Week

“The Seattle Gift Show is a destination for regional and national retailers seeking unique, eclectic designs to set their stores apart, “says Lisa Glosson, show director, Urban Expositions. “We’re constantly seeking out those up-and-coming new companies and fresh new designs to add to the Seattle Gift Show floor mix.  Together with the offerings of the Seattle Mart Showrooms, Seattle Market Week really is a one-stop resource for the region’s retailers. Not only will they be first to see what’s new for 2017, our early January  date pattern also gives them a  jump start on the buying season – so they’ll be first to place orders for early Spring deliveries, too.”

Winter show highlights include:

Urban Craft Uprising pavilion returns to Makers Market section This January, retailers will find even more handcrafted, artisan designs than ever before with the return of the Urban Craft Uprising Pavilion. Showcasing the work of 30+ artisans from Seattle’s largest indie craft show, the pavilion returns this winter to join the show’s Makers Market sector offering a wide range of handcrafted goods for the retailers to explore.

Unique designs, regional resources, classic bestsellers When retailers walk the floor of the Seattle Gift Show, they’ll discover countless new designs, creative styles and regional artisans they just won’t see at other markets.  The show features product in every sector, including general giftware, collectibles, decorative accessories, table top, home décor, souvenir and resort apparel,  jewelry and much more- all in one easy-to-shop layout, all on one floor! Categories Include: Gift & Collectibles, Northwest Directions, Makers’ Market, Personal Style, Treasures To Go (Cash & Carry).

Co-hosting Seattle Market Week with Seattle Mart The Seattle Gift Show will come together with the permanent showrooms of the Seattle Mart to present Seattle Market Week. Formerly the Pacific Market Center, the Seattle Mart will host its winter market – at 200 SW Michigan Street – from January 4-9, 2017.  The building houses the Northwest’s premier permanent showrooms representing a wide range of product lines from locally manufactured to national brands.  These offerings, along with the many lines and new resources at the Seattle Gift Show, give the region’s retailers a comprehensive, convenient and cost-effective shopping experience. What’s more, one badge gives buyers access to both venues and complimentary shuttle service will also be provided.

Free buyer seminar series Buyers can choose from a host of educational programs touching on a variety of topics and trends, including merchandising, packaging and even a curated ‘Museum Discover Tour” of the show floor highlighting fresh new finds for museum shops and other specialty retailers.

Express Pass registration including special parking rebate Buyers are encouraged to take advantage of the show’s easy, online ExpressPass registration. Simply log on, complete the application and receive an ExpressPass via email to bring to the show, scan with onsite readers and quickly print out the admission badge. As an added bonus, buyers who pre-register and bring their ExpressPass along with their parking receipt to the parking rebate desk inside the exhibit hall at the Washington State Convention Center can receive a parking rebate up to $6.
