Smoke Tree shop owners specialize in keeping people connectedBy Terria SmithMyDesert.com

Last November Rick Anderson and Craig Novak opened a gift store in Smoke Tree Village.

The store, Smoke Tree Greetings, is full of specialty greeting cards, journals, memory books, collectibles and novelty items.

Anderson and Novak also own Q Trading, a lesbian gay bisexual and transgender gift shop on Sunny Dunes Road.

Anderson said they noticed there wasn’t a gift shop at the south end of Palm Springs.

Because the Smoke Tree Village area is a place they both like, they decided to bring something in, he said.

“We’re very happy to be here,” Anderson said.

The Palm Springs Sun recently talked with Anderson about the business.
