Spring/Summer 2013 Stars in Atlanta Apparel’s Style Runway

Cool colors for warm temperatures will brighten the stage when Spring/Summer 2013 looks are introduced at the Style Runway show during Atlanta Apparel’s first market of the year, January 24-28, 2013 (temporary exhibits, January 24-27). Tresics, Esley and T.C.E.C./C. Luce play starring roles as the three trendy lines unveil their newest designs ranging from fun and easy to sophisticated and glamorous.

Tresics, an L.A.-based fashion label targeting the junior market, will present another “fun-spirited collection extraordinaire,” according to Grace Oh, Design director. Themes for Spring/Summer ’13 are candy colors, pop contrasts and tropical prints.

“Known for comfortable, yet fashion-forward styles, Tresics strives to make every piece wearable and unique,” says Oh. “With each new season, Tresics offers a wide range of apparel, a variety of fabrications and a spectrum of the freshest colors, creating endless possibilities for head-to-toe outfits covetable by every girl.”

One of the fastest growing young contemporary apparel lines, Esley, offers high-quality designer clothing at affordable prices. The collection features modern sophistication “with a classic edge” and includes tops, bottoms, dresses, outerwear and more.

T.C.E.C./C. Luce’s ready-to-wear line boasts affordable designs that are both glamorous and functional for today’s women. Intricate design provides an array of higher-end options for women looking for choices that are both sophisticated and wearable.

Reflecting the Market’s theme, “Inside Style,” David Goodrowe and Tim Hobby, internationally renowned designers and stylists who produce the Friday night Style Runway each market, share some “Insider” information on what buyers will see on the runway.

“The fashion show will start with a super-strong trend right now of black and white graphic and geometric prints, which echo the Market’s branding,” says Hobby. “Every fashion magazine and trade publication is showing these strong prints that are influenced from Rudi Gernreich’s collections in the 1960s.

“In addition, we plan to introduce a powerful high-fashion element with the styling and videos, bringing in elements of fashion shows from Milan to New York,” he adds. “Of course, color will be HUGE, as well, and we will show color trends and styling trends for Spring 2013.” After the Friday night Style Runway, Goodrowe Hobby’s seminar, “INSIDE the Fashion Show,” will offer insight into the reasons specific pieces were chosen for the show. The free presentation will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. on the Floor 2 Stage.

Goodrowe Hobby has produced each Style Runway for year now, since January 2012, a highlight of each Atlanta Apparel Market. The team hasmore than 40 years of combined fashion and design experience. The design pair has dressed celebrities, such as Jodie Foster, Heidi Klum and Eva Longoria, and has had work appear in Women’s Wear Daily, InStyle and Harper’s BAZAAR. For Style Runway, they personally select the models and their ensembles, along with music and lighting to establish an over-the-top fashion show experience.
