National Stationery Show “Passport to Discovery’ offers fun, prizes and networking

White Plains, NY – Passport to Discovery will bring out the inner explorer in attendees of the 62nd annual National Stationery Show (NSS), as they search for key locations throughout 210,000 square feet of exhibit space, collecting prizes at designated spots and participating in activities at others. The contest is designed to generate excitement in all areas of the Show, enhancing the market experience for some 15,000 attendees, May 18-21, 2008, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

“Passport to Discovery will provide a fun and creative way for attendees to discover the full scope of what the National Stationery Show has to offer,” said Patti Stracher, show manager. “As attendees walk each aisle of the Show floor to collect the required passport stamps, they will encounter new companies, new products and meet new people along the way.”

Participants can pick up their passport at any of the six stops featured in the contest, or at Booth 2500 – the location of Passport to Discovery media partner Gifts & Decorative Accessories. At each stop, participants will have their passport stamped after collecting a prize or participating in a pre-determined activity. The unique stamps, created specifically for this program by PSA Essentials, each feature a popular world city. Once all six stops have been visited, the passport is dropped off at the final stop and will later be used in a drawing. One lucky Passport to Discovery participant will receive roundtrip airfare to the 2009 National Stationery Show or a $200 American Express gift card.

Stops on the Passport to Discovery journey include the Great American Retailing novel, which will require participants to add a line to an ongoing dramatic story about the world of retail; writing a message of thanks and encouragement to a U.S. soldier at the Operation Heartfelt Thanks booth; checking out the latest products for the industry in the New Product Display; and participating in a party-themed Hawaiian adventure.

All stops will feature giveaways, provided by AAA-Rahwanji Cards International, Allport Editions, Always a Girl’s Girl, Artobjects, Bring it in a Bag, Bumble Ink, Cast Paper Art, Charley Harper Art Studios, Charm Somebody, Crazy Ole Bags, CR Gibson, Demby + Solomon Fine Printed Goods, Driftless Studio, Epson, Everyday Innovations, Feterire, Fusion Designs, Get Married, Gina B.
