Steelers sales have been brisk, but best may be on horizon
Area merchants are selling lots of Pittsburgh Steelers garb this week, but the best may be yet to come.
“We have been very, very busy but the second week is huge,” said Jim Vetock, partner at Steelers Gift Shop by Specialty Promotions, Route 22, Ebensburg.
The Steelers will meet the Green Bay Packers Sunday in Super Bowl XLV in Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Vetock has been selling AFC championship T-shirts, sweat shirts, hats, bumper stickers and decals.
“We are depleting a lot of our stock, and a lot of items haven’t come in yet,” Vetock said. “By Wednesday, we will have a ton of new stuff in here.”
Kozee’s Emporium, which operates a kiosk in the Logan Valley Mall and has a permanent store in the Nittany Mall, is selling AFC championship T-shirts, a T-shirt that says “Stairway to Seven” and new James Harrison and LaMarr Woodley T-shirts.
Championship hats will arrive soon, said owner Steve Kozak.
