Tabletop Gains Momentum at Las Vegas Market

Specialty tabletop resources continue to gain momentum at Las Vegas Market with three leading resources—Italian pewter company MATCH, dinnerware and giftware powerhouse Lenox and gilded glassware artisans Childs Studio—expected to join c-ONE’s returning roster of iconic and inspirational brands for the upcoming Winter 2014 Las Vegas Market, January 26-30, 2014. The Winter 2014 Las Vegas Market also will debut a dynamic new “French Alleyway” presentation of fine French manufactured gift and tabletop brands in nearly 1,000-square-feet of temporary exhibition space on floor C11.

“We have made great gains in the specialty tabletop category, and the winter 2014 expansion of both permanent showrooms and temporary exhibitors in this category furthers our positioning as the leading gift, home décor and furniture destination in the western United States,” said Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift & Home Décor, International Market Centers.

The debut of c-ONE at the Summer 2013 Las Vegas Market brought together a veritable ‘who’s who’ of fashionable tabletop, gift and home décor brands – including anchor tenants Abbiamo Tutto, Alessi USA, Michael Aram, Rolf Glass, Skyros Designs & Bodrum, Vagabond House, VIETRI and Waterford Wedgewood.

“The summer show was a great start to the increased growth of Las Vegas,” commented Susan Gravely, CEO of VIETRI, Inc. “Buyers were eager for more vendors and supported us with sales, and we have followed up with many leads that have turned to sales. We are certain that our winter show will be even larger.”

Confirmed winter 2014 newcomers to this stellar concentration of resources are leading Pennsylvania-based tabletop, giftware and collectible supplier Lenox, showcasing its line in a 2,804-square-foot space; and Seattle artisans Childs Studio, spotlighting its gilded glassware and giftware in a 560-square foot display. Additionally, New Jersey-based MATCH, has confirmed its intention to present its handcrafted Italian pewter tabletop and Berti cutlery in a 1,276-square-foot showroom, starting in January 2014.

“We are planning to debut at the Las Vegas Market in January as part of the c-ONE cross-category showcase, with an eye towards both growth and expansion for our business,” comments David Reiss, president and founder of MATCH. “We have decided to debut this January in Las Vegas because we believe this market offers MATCH the unique opportunity to grow and expand our West Coast business while enabling us to deepen our existing West Coast relationships. Also, we’re eager to capitalize on the important exposure that we’ll have in Las Vegas to new customers in the furniture and hospitality sectors, both domestic and international.

Tabletop resources also will expand in Las Vegas Market’s temporary exhibits this winter with the debut French Alleyway, a dramatic new presentation filled with fine French tabletop lines. Participants in the debut of the French Alleyway collection on C11 include the new tabletop line Be Home in a 200-square-foot space as well as returning exhibitor Kiss That Frog, which is expanding into a 755-square-foot location. As many as 10 additional exhibitors are expected to join the French Alleyway for the winter 2014 market.
