The California Market Center Partners With The California Fashion Industry To Sponsor Gala Holiday Party For Underprivileged Children Living in Downtown Los Angeles

The California Market Center (CMC), in association with the Cooper Design Space, the California Fashion Foundation (CFF), and the Textile Association of Los Angeles (TALA), will help create a much-needed joyous holiday experience for in-need children from local organizations Para Los Niños, the Dolores Huerta Public School, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Los Angeles and East Los Angeles to be held on December 11, 2013 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 pm in the penthouse of the Cooper Design Space in downtown Los Angeles’ Fashion District.

“We sincerely appreciate all you are doing for our school. For some students it will be the only Christmas they willhave,” states Desiree Manuel, Principal of Dolores Huerta Elementary School. Echoes Anna Araujo, Executive Director at the Boys & Girls Clubs of East Los Angeles: “Your support gives our kids hope, makes them feel special, and shows them they have value.”

States Gerry Seibel, Vice President of New Business Development for the California Market Center, “The CMC is so delighted to join forces with leaders in the fashion and textile industries to support our community and these wonderful children.” Steve Hirsh, President of the Cooper Design Space, concurs:“The opportunity to bring joy to 200 kids is such a memorable experience for all of us involved.”

The 66th Annual Christmas Party for children honors Hal Kaltman, the late President of TALA who was a driving force for this long-standing tradition. The festivities will come alive for the children with music and entertainment provided by Radio Disney, gala holiday decorations provided by veteran seasonal products expert Dale Zizi, a luncheon buffet and overflowing gift bags for all.

Corporate sponsors generously devoting time and effort also include the Cooper Design Space, Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), and California Apparel News.
