The Grommet, the product launch platform that has discovered and launched more than 2,000 innovative consumer products over the past seven years, announced the promotion of three current team members to its management team.

Jonathan Conelias has been promoted from vice president of finance to chief financial officer and continues as vice president of operations. As CFO and VP of Operations, Conelias is leading the finance, human resources, accounting and operations teams at The Grommet. Prior to The Grommet, Conelias was CFO of iDevices LLC, a leader in the Internet of Things space, and Shields and Company, a middle-market investment bank in Boston. He holds a BS with a concentration in finance and economics from Bentley University.

Alastair Brown has been promoted to vice president of product development from director of product management. Brown has helped increase conversion on site and developed substantial new customer acquisition channels. At TripAdvisor for seven years prior, Brown held roles as director of marketing, responsible for a $100 million Search Engine Marketing program, and senior product manager, where he focused on personalization. Previously, Brown worked as a research associate at Harvard Business School and the International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland. Brown holds a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law, a Masters in Financial Engineering from The Johnson Graduate School of Management, and did his undergraduate degree at Cornell University.

Derek Sanford has been promoted from director to vice president of Technology, leading the engineering and site operations teams. Sanford’s expertise is in the fields of web development, mobile apps, network security, and credit card processing. Prior to The Grommet, Sanford worked at Castle Communications, a web services company, specializing in corporate accounting software, iOS and Android apps, advertisement tracking software, and credit card processing.
