The Shop at the Standard Hotel reopens with hip local merchandise
The rooftop bar with panoramic views of downtown L.A. isn’t the only reason to frequent the Standard anymore. The hipster hotel has recently relaunched the Shop, a jewel box of a retail boutique that specializes in limited-edition items from edgy local designers. It’s part of a trend of hotel gift shops going glam that Times Fashion Critic Booth Moore wrote about recently.
The 144-square-foot store, which shares space with Rudy’s Barbershop on the ground floor, has also received a chic face-lift, spearheaded by Andre Balazs Properties and L.A.-based design firm Commune.
