Third holiday gift show offers wine tasting, children activities
The waterfront will be host to a holiday show on Friday and Saturday, which includes everything from gift shopping, to beer and wine tasting, to music.
Holiday shoppers will find an array of items from 25 vendors, including granite jewelry by Gloucester’s Kathy Erikkila, local artwork, gifts and more at the third Cape Ann Holiday Gift Show at Cruiseport Gloucester. On Saturday, there will be children’s activities and a visit from Santa. Parents can bring their own camera to take holiday photographs, or for one hour at 2 p.m., there will be a professional photographer available.
The main ballroom will have booths of goods, services, ideas for the holidays and giveaways. The first 50 people will receive a special tree giveaway by Russell’s Florist. The next 50 people will receive an ornament from Cape Ann Photography and the next 100 people will receive a “green” bag from Stop & Shop.
Holiday trees decorated by local artists and merchants will be on display throughout Cruiseport.
The show will feature a variety of entertainment, special activities and “how-to” demonstrations.
The highlights on Friday evening include the Linda Amero Quartet, wine tasting from Seabreeze Liquors and beer tasting with Cape Ann Brewing.
On Saturday, the entertainment includes pianist Bonnie Barish from 11a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and a performance by Share the Music at 1 p.m. At 2 p.m., there will be a shrimp cooking demonstration with award-winning Laurie Lufkin.
