Mystic, CT – There were a lot of factors that contributed to Pamela Grace Ames’s relocation to Mystic. Her job in Falmouth, Mass., was “wrapping up,” she wanted to be closer to her boyfriend in Mystic, and she had recently become acquainted with Joyce Resnikoff, whom she now considers a mentor.

All of these factors contributed to Ames’s decision to open Tra La La, a custom stationery and gift shop that offers what she describes as “unexpected necessities.”

Tra La La opened in April in building 8-C at Olde Mistick Village, the shopping center on Coogan Boulevard of which Resnikoff is a part owner. Ames said Resnikoff’s “tremendous support” encouraged her to open the business.
