Up With Paper Unveils Turning Points Greeting Cards

Mason, OH – Up With Paper, the world’s leading marketer of innovative three dimensional greeting cards, announced that it will launch an all new greeting card line, Turning Points, at the 2009 National Stationery Show in May. The new line, which will launch with a 28-card everyday offering, shipping in May, features elaborate designs that shift and change via pull-tabs, wheels, and other mechanisms. Each 5.75-inch square card is also embellished with foil, glitter, and other decorative touches, and includes a set of different “choose your own message” stickers so senders can personalize the card.

The Turning Points line, which will be available exclusively in the specialty card and gift market, includes envelopes and message stickers printed on recycled paper produced from post-consumer waste. The card may be merchandised in Up With Paper’s permanent and temporary fixtures or in-line.

The company is launching the new line with an aggressive sampling program, with free samples provided to all retailers visiting the Up With Paper booth (#3104) at the National Stationery Show, and to retailers visiting the company’s sales representative showrooms at the summer gift shows. The company is also sending a sample to its current customers and offering samples to retailers responding to a print ad campaign.

“These amazing Turning Points cards have to be seen to be believed,” said George White, president of Up With Paper. “The unique combination of design, embellishments, and movement featured on each card will facilitate a superior emotional connection between the sender and the recipient, engaging both fully in the communication conveyed by the card. In addition,Turning Points will be saved and displayed by the recipient, providing the type of long-lasting impact with which fans of our other brands are familiar.”

The initial everyday model line for Panoramics will include 18 birthday cards, three wedding/anniversary, three new baby, and four general/all occasion. The cards have a suggested retail price of $5.99.

“We are very excited to launch this new Turning Points line at the National Stationery Show this year,” said White. “This line continues our trend of breaking new ground in the market, as we have previously done with our Treasures, Panoramics, and Pop-Up Snow Globe Greetings. We look forward to retailer reaction to the line, and to partnering with them for growth in the specialty market with this line.”
