Urban Expositions announces staff appointments for gift, souvenir trade show

ATLANTA – Urban Expositions, a leading producer of regional gift, souvenir and resort merchandise shows, has announced a series of staff appointments related to the National Country & Crafts Show, Las Vegas Souvenir & Resort Gift Show, Birdwatch America, Emerald Coast Gift & Resort Show, Philadelphia Gift Show, Miami Beach Gift Show and Galveston Gift and Resort Merchandise Show, effective immediately.

Shelley Fulghum has been named show director for the new semi-annual National Country & Crafts Show set to debut in February 2009 at the new Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA, overseeing sales and operations for the show. Fulghum is also currently the show director for the semi-annual Philadelphia Gift Show, the nation’s largest regional gift show.

Jeannie Dorchak will take on the role as show manager, order-writing, for the National Country & Crafts Show. She will be handling sales for the order-writing section of the show and assisting with sales for the Philadelphia Gift Show. Dorchak previously worked as the show manager for the Miami Beach Gift Show and the Galveston Gift & Resort Merchandise Show. Before joining Urban Expositions in the summer of 2007, Dorchak worked for Messe Frankfurt as the sales manager for the Interior Lifestyle Show, held in Las Vegas, NV.

Erica Guess has been named show manager, cash and carry, for the National Country & Crafts Show. Her responsibilities will be focusing on sales efforts for the cash and carry section and assisting with sales for the Philadelphia Gift Show. Guess began working full-time with Urban Expositions in 2006 and previously held buyer relations positions.

Lisa Glosson has been named show manager overseeing sales and operations for the Las Vegas Souvenir & Resort Gift Show in Las Vegas, NV. In addition to her new position, Glosson, who has been with Urban Expositions for the past seven years, also serves as show manager for the annual National Lawn & Garden Show, the exclusive pre-set appointment format event that Urban Expositions manages for Controlled Marketing Conferences, Inc. In addition, Glosson also provides marketing and buyer support for The Gathering, Urban’s annual, invitation-only buying event for the souvenir and resort industry.

Christina Bell will take on the position of show manager overseeing sales and operations for the annual Birdwatch America show in Atlanta, GA, as well as the Emerald Coast Gift & Resort Show in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Bell joined Urban Expositions in 2005 as a trade show coordinator, where she provided sales and administrative support for the Grand Strand Gift & Resort Merchandise Show in Myrtle Beach, FL, the Emerald Coast Gift & Resort Show, and the Orlando Gift Show. Along with the position of trade show coordinator, Bell will continue to serve as ad sales manager for all Urban Expositions shows.

Jennifer Simon has been named show manager overseeing sales and operations for the annual Miami Beach Gift Show, Miami Beach, FL and the annual Galveston Gift and Resort Merchandise Show in Galveston, TX. Simon joined Urban Expositions in the summer of 2007 as the sales manager for the Philadelphia Gift Show.
