Lodi, CA – Kathy Duran says her career has come full circle with the opening of Voila, a home decor and specialty gift store located in Downtown Lodi.

Duran credits her family for inspiring her to open her own store. As a child, Duran worked at her father’s Lodi store, Lakewood Drugs. She went on to study business and marketing at California Polytechnic State University. She held a position selling home decor items — similar to those she now sells in her own shop — to various businesses before opening Voila with the help and encouragement of her sister.

Duran, a Lodi native, mother of three and former Realtor, is the sole owner of Voila. Her business began three years ago as a tiny shop on the south side of Lodi, but on Feb. 20 her niche business found a new home.
