Autumn Leaf Gifts
Neccica Hayes is the owner of Autumn Leaf Gifts, a new shop in the West Glen shopping center in West Des Moines. She orders unique, hand-crafted products from small artisans and she says they are as one-of-a-kind as the autumn leaves. Hayes said she modeled her gift shop after a favorite shop in Massachusetts, where she lived for 15 years.
PRODUCTS: Mostly hand-crafted items from small artisans. Hayes seeks gifts that are exclusive to her in this area.
EXAMPLES: Pottery, including textile designs on some pieces; hand-blown glass; pewter; wooden items; botanical prints; greeting cards; Beanpod soy candles; and a variety of hand-crafted treasures. Hayes will assemble gift baskets of bath products such as handmade bubble bath cupcakes, bath bombs, shower butters to rub on damp skin and moisturize and truffle fizzies for the bath. Prices per item are $2.50 for the truffles to $6.99 for the cupcakes.
