While her three sons were young, Lynda Waddell operated Oceans of Notions, a successful gift basket company, from her home.

Now that her youngest is 16, Waddell has relocated the business and added another, a unique upscale consignment shop called Boulevard Treasures.

“I’ve always had a passion for design and beautiful pieces and saw the need for people to decorate on a budget,” said the Meadowridge resident.

Both companies share space within a white, two-story building on Virginia Beach Boulevard near Lynnhaven Parkway. The treasure shop takes up part of the first floor, along with the eBay drop-off store Snappy Auctions.

The downstairs showroom is filled with an array of art, antiques, furniture, and collectibles. Her gift basket business is upstairs, along with more home decor items, plus fine and estate jewelry. Inventory changes almost daily, she said.

Consignment items come from all over. It’s a way for people to “re-home cherished items,” Waddell said.
