Winter fairytales at Christmasworld 2011

Irrespective of whether the temperature on the thermometer in January 2011 is above freezing point or winter really does bring snow and ice, snow is guaranteed at Christmasworld in Frankfurt from 28 January to 1 February 2011. Why? Because the World of Event Decoration will be presenting a Christmas wedding celebration in Hall 9.0 under the title “Merry Marriage”. Two designers Rudi Tuinman and Pascal Koeleman from Dutch lifestyle company 2Dezign will be showing how to turn a Christmas wedding into an unforgettable winter fairytale, with over 5,000 fresh chrysanthemums, 1,500 silk flowers and 1,000 Christmas balls.

The two creatives will be showing new wedding concepts, not just a Christmas wedding. “We went for the chrysanthemum, because it can be used in a host of different ways, is available in many different colours and its potential is often underestimated. If you are brave enough to experiment and try something new, these versatile flowers offer a myriad of possibilities”, says Tuinman. In the “Merry Marriage” show, chrysanthemums define the floral concept and are festively staged with Christmas balls, ribbons and hearts. “For the first time, we have a Christmasworld display which features fresh flowers”, Jutta Baumann, Christmasworld Director, said with obvious pleasure. Florists, retailers, decorators and designers can look forward to a spectacular, special show, which provides inspiration for a unique wedding – from table decorations and wedding bouquets to floral hearts and designs for the church.

Some years ago, Rudi Tuinman and Pascal Koeleman founded the lifestyle company 2Dezign. Tuinman comes from the fashion industry and Koelman is a florist and product designer. With this expertise, they specialise in furnishing and decorating. With their team, they already staged events in Hollywood and New Orleans and have also designed events for the Dutch football team. Moreover, their portfolio includes company presentations at fairs, seminars and marketing concepts.

But the unique range of products on show at Christmasworld consists of more than just weddings and Christmas. The world’s leading trade fair for festive decorations also offers products, trends and ideas for every festive occasion of the year. The range extends from fireworks, party and festive goods, annual and seasonal decorations to florists’ supplies, candles, fragrances and festive lighting.
